  • This park is always a great place. The several hiking trails are long and always an adventure. There's a ramp if you want to take your boat onto the river. Camping is for pull-behinds, motor-homes, and tents with primitive camping. Also cabin rental is available. There's even a large building where you can have a wedding reception, family reunion, or birthday party.
  • I love this park. Nice campground with water and electric. Lots of hiking trails. The Cedar River runs through it. The cliffs on the other side of the river are pretty. There are deer here to.
  • Great place for a quick hike. The Cedar Cliff Trail has some great scenery and vistas. Probably about a half mile long, it meanders along the Cedar River bluff overlooking the river below and is moderately strenuous. It's not a loop, it just dead ends but the scenery is nice enough we didn't mind turning around and walking it back again. It's not marked the best but not hard to follow if you stay on the obvious main trail. There's a few unauthorized side trails that can be kind of treacherous and lead to who knows where. Stick to the main trail and won't have any problems. Cool Hollow Trail looks to be a good hike also but we didn't have time to hike it that day.
  • Favorite park to hike at in the area. For eastern Iowa the trails have some decent elevation changes. The limestone bluffs are beautiful and it is great to visit no matter what time of year you go.
  • Excellent park. We cooked out, hiked, and played catch. It was very busy.
