  • I've been here many times and I'm impressed by the constant improvement. The animals appear content and obviously well loved and well cared for. A great place for a family outing, educational and very...  more »
  • It was good to see this place as a refuge and family for the animals there. $2.75 was a bit to much for an ice dream cone to feed the bears was a bit much as I had to buy three. But over all this is a...  more »
  • Great place for kids and family's. Bob and family do a wonderful job protecting and educating on the animals and what the DEW is all about.

  • I went to dew haven yesterday it is a beautiful place to visit, Julie and Bob are the nicest people I met. The place was very clean no smell's at all. You can see they love there animals. I think they do a great job and I would go back. They are hard working people. I think for people to cut them down. Is pretty sad. I've seen nothing wrong there nothing but well taking care animals and happy. This is a pretty place to go and see. Keep up the good job it is beautiful. I want to thank you for taking time to take a picture with me. 9/17/16
  • My experience differed from those who commented above. The animals I saw had water, but the water was very dirty and black. I was particularly concerned about the exotic birds. I saw three macaws in a small, chicken wire cage with dirty water and no food I could see, as well as no real available shelter from the elements--just a small shaded area. I could hear the screams of a cockatoo all around the park. It was a Molluccan cockatoo, again in a cage too small for it's size. It had no companionship and seemed starved for attention. The owner just yelled to the bird to shut up. He told the tourists that this bird was a recent donation. Birds are social animals and this bird nothing/nobody with whom to socialize. And what care does Dew Haven provide for these tropical birds, and for that matter, other animals from warmer climates in the colder months? I have been unable to stop thinking about what I saw and heard at Dew Haven. I think the owners may be making an effort, but they are in over their heads here. The big cats also had very dirty water in their enclosures. Please, can they at least have some clean water, adequate, healthy food, and some shelter from the elements?
  • The care and love these animals get is worth every penny of the cost to get in...these people are my idols. I've been here many times and NEVER have I seen anything but the very best care being given. Those animals all love to see him coming. Well done! Love and recommend!
  • My family and I had a wonderful time there. We decided to go on a Saturday so we could enjoy the benefit off having a guided tour with Bob and whoa, what an experience we had. I would like to take the time to personally thank Bob, Julie, their entire family and everyone that has an impact at Dew Haven!!! What a fantastic place to visit and really connect with the animals and the people. I truly wish Yankee Jungle was still on the air and believe in what the Miners are doing. It's easy to pass judgement behind a computer screen but I challenge all the nah sayers to experience this in person and you to will be a believer in their mission!
  • I was going to bring my children with my husband....until I found out that it would cost is $70 for my husband and I and our four kids to see these animals..... You are making it impossible for a family on a limited budget to enjoy the wildlife you have in captivity... So looks like our family will instead support our local humane society... socialize with the animals and go buy a big bag of cat food and big bag of dog food to donate for a fraction of the amount to go to Dew Haven! An unfortunate situation but still sharing the love for animals with four small children!! Dews high prices graciously blessed the animal shelter with a family of 6 and donations of food!! Good day to be had... so for those like us that decide it's too expensive... please consider a small donation of time and or pet food at a humane society near you!! (And save the gas money you would have spent to travel!!)
