  • No matter how many times I do this hike it never gets old. It's fairly easy with lots of great views. Make sure you bring some food so you can stop and enjoy the surroundings.
  • Tipsoo Lake is near the summit on Highway 410 and is only available when road is open. In the winter, you can enounter heavy snowfall. In the spring, summer and fall, you will have a wonderful view of...  more »
  • On a clear day this 1 mile hike lets you take a fantastic photo of Mt. Rainier as well as the reflection of the mountain in Tipsoo Lake. Fabulous.

  • Outstanding view of Mt. Rainier in the morning. We hiked in late June and the flowers were in bloom and beautiful along the trail. This is a pretty easy hike as far as distance and elevation gain are concerned. This is a hike that I would do over again for sure.
  • Nice and easy short hike. Beautiful views of Mt Rainier and the wildflowers along the trail. Even some views of Dewey and Tipsoo Lakes nearby. Worth the drive.
  • The rewards for the small amount of effort are fantastic! One of the best hikes I've been on.
  • This is such beautiful place to play.
  • Easy but beautiful loop hike with stunning views of Mt. Rainier as well as Tipsoo Lake. Part of the trail is on the Pacific Crest Trail. The usual advice is to hike it clockwise from Chinook Pass, so you can be facing Rainier toward the end of the hike. May be snow covered well into July in normal snowfall years.
