  • Great place to spend an afternoon with your family! Come see the dolphin, come fish, come have a great time. You will enjoy this special park.
  • We were in Mount Pleasant for two nights. Driving back to our hotel after dinner, we happened upon Shem Creek Park. It was a beautiful night so we walked the boardwalk. There were people fishing and c...  read more »
  • Some good sunsets are observed from the end of the boardwalk, or just watch the fishing boats return or the throw net fishermen do their stuff.
  • One of the best places to get out and walk in the Charleston area. The Town of Mt. Pleasant took an already excellent walking pier and extended it so that you can do a big loop of the creek. You have easy access to restaurants and boats - not to mention great nature views. You may see pelicans, egrets, herons, crabs, and yes, dolphins. Good for biking, walking, jogging, and dog-friendly (on leashes). Parking for the pier and public restrooms available.
  • A wooden walkway along the creek lets you photograph the workings of the shrimp boat fleet and the opportunity to see a returning vessel and accompanying pelicans. When the vessel Seahorse docked there were as many people buying the fresh shrimp as pelicans looking for handouts. "what a way to make a living was my thought as i stared at the boats which seemed to be covered with ropes and netting. I knew nothing of the hard labor involved, the storms braved by salty fisherman, the return trips with holds not filled with shrimp." Kyle Schlicher
  • This is great for a nice stroll after a meal at any of the restaurants on Shem Creek. Can see a multitude of wildlife. Excellent on a nice Fall or Spring day or evening. Very relaxing.
  • Awesome, beautiful and relaxing creek. A good place to see dolphins!
  • Such a great place to just hang out for a little while. If you walk out to the end of the dock, there's a covered area with benches. Frequently you'll see porpoises, egrets, and pelicans. From the dock, you have views of Ravenel Bridge and Fort Sumter.
