  • Great family attraction. Great history to learn. Lots of plans to see and the ship has so much to view and learn. Great gift shop with lots of goodies. Little food court but good. Helicopter rides that are great priced $35 and up Per person ...will come again with a whole day planned.
  • A most see whether you are a history buff, a fan of military ships, planes, helicopters, etc... or looking for somewhere cool. I recommend at least 2 days if you want to enjoy everything, but you'll have a good time for a day or even a few hours. Great for kids! There is the aircraft carrier, a destroyer, submarine, many planes and such. If you have time the Vietnam Experience is awesome. There is just so much to see and do.
  • You can see a lot from the ship and feel how it would be like to live there. If you are at least slightly interested in the Navy or in Ships, this is a must see. I really enjoyed my time there. It took me around 2.5 hours on the USS Yorktown and another 1.5 hours on the Destroyer, Submarine and Vietnam area. So all in all I stayed around 4 hours with no rushing through and just enjoying the walk around. (Oh yes, lots of walking included)
  • I would not pass this stop up if in Charleston, this is a piece of America history that has key planes from the Armed forces. Do spend the extra 6 dollars and get the audio tour well worth every penny. Do not miss the laffey and watch the video in the shop about the history of the "unsinkable" ship. Great stop for 22 dollars. Yes it's high but you will not be dissatisfied.
  • Exhibits were great and people were very nice. Overall a nice experience, I recommend it. I give it 3 stars because there is no charge for admissiom for Active Military but Veterans/Retired Military have to pay full price. I see this as very unfair and I notice it is like that in many places like this. Just because someone served previously and their time has ended, doesn't mean they should be forgotten about.
