  • This was so cool to see! It's really a little shocking to suddenly see it! The entire area is beautiful. What a great background for pictures.
  • Ok for a drive by. We stopped took photos but unable to go into museum re short hours. Definitely check when they are open.
  • Nicely kept walking park with granite memorial benches. Gives you some idea of the size of the 'container' our men sailed underwater.

  • The boat ride gives you a great tour of the route when you travel out to the island. There's plenty of seats but the ride isn't too long where if you were to stand that it would be uncomfortable. On the ride to the island I stood up front the whole ride and got to see the nice view. When you get to the island you have X amount of time where they tell everyone to get back to the boat to catch the a ride back. While on the island there a some employees that gives you a brief history about the island and also there is a small gift store too. They also have a bathroom on the island as well which is cool.
  • The Patriot's Point scout experience is really a lot of fun. I recommend the two nights plan, as it leaves a lot more time to explore the Yorktown. Also, I recommend not trying to do all the things that the experience allows, mainly because there really is so much to do here. That said, be aware that much of the interior areas of the ships are not air-conditioned. Thus, I strongly recommend taking a water bottle and refilling it as often as possible.
  • This place is amazing! Climbing up and down the ship is an experience you can't get anywhere. The price is definitely worth it, and we spent about 3 hours here. The submarine was also very cool, but harder to navigate through if you are over 6 foot.
  • Worth the trip!!! Alot of walking and steep stairs. Its cool to see the inside and deck of an aircraft carrier (USS Yorktown) and a battle ship. The submarine was in the middle of a restoration, my wife and I were not able to see inside of it. You will enjoy the experience...bring bug spray....mosquitos were horrible.
  • Amazing to see these ships up close and understand the history. USS Yorktown is a great place to explore all the areas that make up the ship. Be aware that there is a lot of walking up and down steep stairs, but that is a ship for you. Great day out. Highly recommended.
