  • My son lives in Mt. Pleasant and when my wife and I visit we try to play a round of golf. Charleston National is my favorite course in the Charleston area. It has always been in great shape when I've played it....nice fairways, kept wide enough for amateurs to keep things moving and very good greens. And, it has an excellent practice facility. I have always found the staff to be professional and friendly. All in all I would say playing Charleston National is an outstanding overall experience and a beautiful one, too. You get a special appreciation of the low country because of the wonderful marsh views. It is definitely worth the "price of admission" to me and I look forward to my next visit....and so does my wife!
  • Best public course in Mount Pleasant. Requires shots be located carefully. Greens are generally pretty receptive and consistent. Marsh views on the back are as good as just about any in the Lowcountry.
  • Beautiful course! The staff are excellent and super accommodating. The experience justifies the cost. Chase and his staff do a great job.
  • Really enjoyed playing this course, challenging lay-out. Staff was very helpful in that one of our player lost a couple of club and they went out of their way to retrieve them for him. Next time in Charleston I will book again.😁
  • The best practice area in the Charleston vicinity. Wonderful staff in the pro shop as well as positive and attentive cart personnel and bar/restaurant employees. The golf course is challenging with water, marsh, and bunkers, and the greens are in good condition. The only thing that keeps my rating from 5 stars is the concentration of play from Friday to Sunday. In efforts to optimize income, the management team schedules tee times at 5 minute increments, which slows down play. They also allow 5some and 6somes for out of town golfers. Most other courses break them into multiple groups with 15 minute tee time gaps.
