  • I for one love historic landmarks. And I haven't been there yet but I'll tell you this...something that historic deserves respect, my visit there, and5 stars from me. BTW... I am fascinated that parts of the village are still in tact including the building on top of the mound and the fences. I will be sure to visit the Indian mound soon.
  • I remembered going here as a child and brought my kids when visiting NC. A great place to get an idea of who lived here before the white settlers.
  • Great educational experience for the kids! The reconstructions are well done and provide an excellent impression of what this village looked like.
  • Atlatl for the Win! When you go, get one of the Historical Interpreters there to give you a weapons demonstration. Very cool.
  • Half mile from the location "road closed" signs appeared and had to turn around in very small place
