  • Ok. So here's the thing. DONT TAKE KIDS YOUNGER THAN 13 ON THIS TOUR! I love this place so much and want to do a night investigation. Our guide was a preacher who gave out some gruesome information on the past. He also has stories from a lot of the guys who were guards and inmates there. And if you go for the paranormal. Go at night but even during the day you see stuff. I saw what appeared to be an inmate running up stairs and when I looked at his face he ducked and vanished. But again this tour is gruesome and full of gore but good. The only thing I wished is that I could have gone into the sugar shack and infirmary. But that is only on Monday.

  • Loved the history. Our guide was a former guard at the prison and was amazing. Very neat to learn what was there in the prison and how it changed throughout its history up until it closed.
  • A must see! Wonderful guides and experiences! Also offers great items in the gift shop.
  • Very pretty architecture and the history tour is really interesting. Knowledgeable guides too.
