  • We stopped at Morro Bay during our car trip along the coast and I definitely recommend it! Morro Bay is a real gem. The town, all the area around and the Park is really worth a visit.  more »

  • This is camping with almost an ocean view in beautiful Morro Bay! 8 hunting trail and just walking around the park is fun because there are plenty of nice people enjoying the outdoors. You are are a very short distance in a car downtown Morro Bay with lots excellent dining choices. There is an Natural History Museum in walking distance which is a really fun thing to do. There are a few RV hookups but the rest of the camp sites do not cups of electric or water. There are restrooms and there are token showers. If you get tokens on your way in it's extra simple. Fires are allowed at least when we were there and you can buy fire wood at several campsites. Seems like everybody is on a bicycle!
  • This park would be absolutely awesome if it was kept up better--we are seeing that some CA parks have gotten run-down--this is sad. "Being broke" is not an excuse. Some creative people need to find grant money and other funds to bring Morro Bay SP, and other parks, back to their original natural beauty. This park has so much to offer.
  • This campground is close to several trails, including an exercise trail. It is walking distance to the Natural History Museum, which is a great place for kids. It has token showers and several restrooms. Be sure to pick up some tokens from the kiosk on your way in to avoid a long hunt for an operational token machine. Firewood available for purchase at the host Campsites. Campsites have all the space you need and not much more.
  • Maybe it used to be nice but in May, 2017 it is overgrown with weeds knee deep with foxtails. You won't like trying to walk your dog. The restrooms are deplorable and most of the showers are locked and out of order and according to the ranger they have been that way for a long time. $50 a night with hookups should certainly be better spent elsewhere. We won't be back.
  • Situated in one of the nicest towns in California. Peaceful breezes, and friendly people abound. The Avian population is varied and abundant. Atmosphere, atmosphere, atmosphere.
