  • We have camped in this campground for 3 years and absolutely love the setting of the campground. There are some major concerns for us though. Pros Nice wide wooded sites Several sites with full hookup...  more »
  • Plenty of great things to do. Playground, volleyball, tennis, pool, and a variety of trails. I've never camped because I live to close to need to camp. Lots of great views. I recommend the overlook at...  more »
  • A lovely park, however trails are not marked properly. We had 4 senior citizens with 3 dogs and we got completely turned around due to lack of directional signs. That is dangerous for people! Also, th...  more »
  • Very peaceful park. The campground has 50 paved sites. The sites are fairly easy to back into with limited obstacles. We stayed in site #22 the description read slight incline which we found it to be a very slight incline. Lots of activities for everyone to enjoy, along with numerous trails for walking, horses and bicycles. Great place for all.
  • Beautiful state park! Very clean and we'll maintained. The bathrooms were well stocked and clean. Beautiful views everywhere! Lots of plaques with the history of the park on it. A must see!
  • Great place to spend the weekend camping or just go for a day hike or bicycle ride. Plenty of trails, volleyball, and a new disk golf course. Plenty of stuff for the whole family
  • Very peaceful and excellent hiking. There are many large moss covered boulders throughout the woods that adds to its charm.
  • I love the almost 30 miles of hiking, biking, and horse trails. You can get lost in the beauty of the woods, without actually getting lost. The Overlook has a great view of Cherokee Lake, and Grainger Co. It is far enough away from the city that you can't hear it, but close enough that if you need something, you can run to town and get it. The campground was renovated a few years ago and is great. The bathhouses are set up family style. Meaning you go in and everything is in 1 room. Toilet, shower, and sink. There is a coin laundry at both of them as well, and they are cheap! .75 to wash and the same to dry! You can't find that anywhere else! I love the park.
