Theater Concert / Show
Observe a naturally formed, open-air amphitheater used as a stage for concerts and performances at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Enjoy the acoustics with clear and all-enveloping sound quality, the feeling enhanced by the natural red rock scenery surrounding you. Benches carved into the rocks provide seating for up to 9,500 people, with enough room between the rows to walk and dance. Entrance to the amphitheater is free, as is a visit to the Colorado Music Hall of Fame museum on the top level. You can also hike on trails through the park itself, which locals use as a workout place. • Best outdoor concert venue that I have been to. Met a very helpful and friendly staff member that has been working there for 11+ years. Beautiful views of the city and it all gets even better after dark (especially the sound). 3 easy ways into the venue and good parking lots spread out in various locations; top one is the best. Nice selection of food and drinks but very pricey so be prepared, and some are cash only. You can also bring your own non-alcoholic branded drinks and food. Highly recommend bringing seat cushions/towels to sit on or fold out seats with backs that meet space requirements (no more than 18" wide); small bench seating.
  • One of Colorado's best concert venues, it's true what they say about the surrounding rocks being perfect for the acoustic sound. The people are very helpful, they have clear & well defined rules about what is allowed inside and they're very fair about what you can bring in. For example you can bring a water bottle inside as long as the cap is factory sealed, or you can bring an empty water bottle and fill it up inside. It's easy to navigate (if you aren't sure about navigation they have maps online). They have handicapped parking and a shuttle that gives you a ride up the hill for those of us that are disabled and have difficulty walking; Just make sure to bring/show them your handicapped parking placard or license and they'll direct you to the proper lot. They also offer a limited amount of handicapped reserved seating when you buy your ticket, but they don't have 'handicapped only' bathrooms anymore. The bathrooms they do have are a little bit of a journey and there's usually long lines. If you're a smoker of any kind they have confusing designated areas. They have a pretty decent concession stand that serves snacks like pretzels or personal pizzas etc. And if you don't want to wait in line for a beer they have vendors who walk up and down the isles promptly to sell cans of tallboys.
  • Red Rocks park has plenty of parking, beautiful hiking trails, a wonderful and huge amphitheater, plus a gift shop with unique Colorado items. My only complaints are there is some litter that isn't picked up and the Red Rocks can get hot easily. Other than that, the Red Rocks are a beautiful natural formation that I would go back to anytime.
  • This is an awesome place to see a concert... the views are wonderful, the sound perfect, and atmosphere rocks... I saw the Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour... I look for bands to enjoy when I am there as I need a reason to return. Keep in mind... the steps that rise from the lower parking lot to the upper concession level have about 380 steps... at 6000' above sea level, this could be a task for the elderly or those not in shape, understanding that by parking in the upper lot, you will arrive at the upper concession level and avoid the steps... also, consider getting there early as the parking lots fill and you may end up parking way back down the road leading in.... Find something you like and go enjoy this venue.
  • Great music venue. Would be great if your phone number listed on google didn't lead to a loop of automatic messages and very unhelpful fun facts about dead presidents. So frustrating talking to robots. I called to speak to a human, not listen to a monotoned girl talk for 15 minutes about Easter. Great venue. Garbage customer service.
