Morrison Natural History Museum is the "small museum with big discoveries." The first giant Jurassic dinosaurs were found at Morrison, Colorado in 1877. Active research of local Jurassic rocks have yielded famous baby dinosaur footprints that have been featured in 'Smithsonian' magazine and media outlets around the world. These finds nourish touchable exhibits that are designed to be toured with a guide.

  • Nice little museum, with friendly staff. Lots of information to read and learn during the tour. It's only 2 floors and about 4 rooms like other reviews have stated. I'd recommend going just for the experience and to support the museum.
  • This is a rather small place but they have a great tour. Doug took us through the museum and told us about the exhibits in great detail, answered questions and let us help in uncovering fossils in sandstone. On top of that, almost every thing is hands on! My son is 3, I'm 32 and we both had a great time and learned new things. If highly recommend this for kids anywhere from 3-12 and even adults. Can't say enough good things about this place, I'm so glad we stumbled across it!
  • This place is small..but a hidden gem. My son and I went there for a classmates birthday party. Not only were we given a guided tour , but the kids were also able touch a lot of the fossils. Definitely going back.
  • This place is amazing! So glad we found it. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The guided tour was super informative.
  • Small but informative. This museum is really small (just 2 floors with 4 rooms) and doesn't have much to see but the tour guides were pretty informative. I was there with a 3 year old and the tour was just too slow for her.
