  • I was incredibly disappointed in the quality of this hotel. It is a far cry from a resort. The entire place is in need of updating. The rooms were outdated and small. For our stay, in particular, they completely over booked their facility and were not even able to accommodate enough towels for the number of guests staying there. Our room was dirty, including mold and stained ceiling tiles. The bathroom had a stained, leaky toilet with nearly no water pressure. When I accidentally knocked my phone off the nightstand and it fell between the wall and the nightstand, I was grossed out by the buildup of dust and dirt collected behind it. I would never stay here again or recommend for anyone else to stay here, either.
  • The beds were lumpy and one was broken. Several lights inside of the room did not function. There was one accessible power outlet and one of the plugs didn't function. One of the lamps was wired to electrical wires from the wall with exposes screw on connections. The seal on the toiletries was broken and never swapped out. There was mold growth in the shower. The entire facility is very dated and in need of repairs and updating. If I didn't have to stay there for a wedding I would have been happier in a motel six. The price does not reflect these shortcomings.
  • My business associate and I were there to golf. We had played there four years ago, and since we were in the area again we thought we would give it another try; our previous experience was not all that enjoyable as it had recently rained and the course was drenched and soggy. While this time it was generally "soft", it was a more pleasant experience. The course does require a straight drive down tree lined fairways and accurate approach shots. Having played roughly 70 different courses over the years, I might rank this course in the top 25. I would not shy away from playing here again when I am passing through.
  • we attended a wedding here, and it was beautiful. a little warm, but that's august in WV for you. Dinner was absolutely delicious, I had the beef, which was render and not overly done, which is difficult to do when serving a large crowd. my only complaint was that they couldn't find a cup with a straw for my toddler. overall, I would recommend to others considering using this venue.
  • We spent 2 nights for a family reunion and the resort was very accommodating. It has a retro vibe but is clean. We rented a conference room down stairs and the provided us with a mini fridge for our own beverages. There only seemed to be one elevator to the rooms but you were able to park closer to the rooms and stairs.
