  • Quiet, clean and serene! We loved it. The views are beautiful, the water was clean and it was crowded at all. Our first time here and we are planning to come camping in the near future.

  • Beautiful views of the lake, beach access, shaded sites with plenty of privacy, our 33 ft class A motorhome fit perfectly fine with to spare. We were pleased to have such wonderful helpful hosts, loved the beautiful new bath house, and were so close to all things Blue Ridge, Ga has to offer! We will definitely be back for the Apple Festival and to see the leaves change in the fall .
  • A couple or quick things. 1. I do not write many reviews 2. Generally, I at least attempt not to be a hateful asshat 3. When something sucks, it sucks I had not been to Morganton Point in about 8 years. It was a beautiful place and still is. However, either ownership or managment or both has changed and not at all for the better. Sure, they updated the bathrooms and most of the sites now have water and electric hookups but all the amenities in the world wouldn't make up for the lousey atmosphere created the moment you set foot in the park. If you're a younger person expect to be treated like you're from Neptune. Price was $18 per night for walk in camp sites which seemed high considering we were given a laundry list of rules by which to abide. Some were simple like "pick up your trash" and "keep food put away." Others were kind of dumb like "your Corgi must be kept tied up at all times, no exeptions!" We were also told that all alcohol was prohibited in camp.. not on the lake, in the camp itself. Anyway, my party and I nodded politely and paid their fees and tried to get settled in, "tried" being the key word. Not even an hour into our setting up, the host were down at our site haranging us about every little thing, from the dog quietly lying in the shade under the picnic table to the age of our tent. Seriously. Anyway, three days was our limit and we all left pretty sour. It's a shame too, as this was once a very nice place to camp and swim. Hopefully managment will realize that people go camping to be left alone, not to be nitpicked until they lose the will to live. I hope this review helps.
  • Amazing time here! Host was very nice and helpful. Bathroom always clean they are huuge!! We stayed for 5 nights and we cant wait to come back. We literally jump to the lake from our campsite. You cant ask for more
  • Great place to stay, even if it is only for a night, the people who run it were very helpful and friendly. There's a swimming area, boat dock, you can fish, and a brand new bathroom and shower building
  • New bath house and dump station. Great host and staff. For smaller campers, check site before registering to make sure camper will fit.
