  • When it comes to imagination in craft brewing Fonta Flora takes a back seat to no one. They are a good reason to visit Morganton all by themselves but there is much more to see and taste so come and e...  more »

  • Awesome little brewery. They really embody the craft in craft brewing. Tasty and unique offerings, but plenty of more typical offerings too. I enjoyed the Beet IPA and Dry Irish Stout. Was pleasantly ...  more »

  • First of all, I'm just going to say that this is my favorite brewery in NC... and I've been to a lot of breweries. I love it when beers have earthy, floral, fruity, quirky flavors; Fonta Flora has all that and more. I adore the fact that they try to use as many local products as possible. Their flights are amazing, and they apparently don't often make the same beer twice, so there's always something new to try. The atmosphere is relaxing, but not boring, and the taproom itself is beautiful. If you're not super close by and you're wondering if this place is worth the trip, it definitely is!
  • A diverse selection of beer with a style to suit any taste. The beer profiles were pleasantly complex. Generous samples in the flights (although the glasses were almost too tight to remove without spilling some beer) all were enjoyable but without a clear winner for me. Nice atmosphere with a friendly staff.
  • Love the atmosphere. Speakers playing Indie/Folk the night I was there. No hot food here. You can order locally produced pre-packaged hummus and crackers (very good) or meat and cheese board. I ordered a flight and I liked (not loved) all except the beet beer, which tasted just like beets! Inside tables and sidewalk tables . Dog friendly (several dogs (with owner) came to the bar and sat outside).
  • Good beer, great atmosphere. I wish they were open longer during the weekends. They are also dog friendly.
  • If you are in Asheville, and wondering if you should make the drive, do it. This place might be small, but it's got a great vibe and every beer is unique and full of flavor. We tried every beer on tap, and no single one disappointed. Pontoon parade is great, so is brass monkey.
