  • We visited on an overcast day. It's a bit of a haul from Blue Ridge, but it is scenic so we did not mind the drive. The Vineyard itself is down a gravel road...all part of the experience. The tasting room is quaint, nothing fancy but serves the purpose. The tasting room was actually a family home built back in the 1800's so it is charming...it is small and I don't think it had air conditioning as it was warm in there...but again, I guess part of the experience. The girl who spoke with us was very friendly and knowledgeable. My only suggestion is that the tastings take place at a small bar up front and you have to stand the entire time (I have bad knees and also just had a knee surgery)... so it felt a bit rushed. It would be nice if you had some bar stools around an old wine barrel or something of the sort and the tasting could be experienced at your leisure instead of the pourer seeming as if she was waiting on you so we could get on to the next one. There's a quaint little patio on the back that is nicely done and the vineyard itself it pretty...it is a relatively new vineyard so in it's infant stages. Pricing seemed fair. I give it a 4.5 star rating...could easily be a solid 5 with a couple of adjustments.
  • Nice family owned winery. Staff was very friendly and offered to take several pics of my husband and I. All the wines were yummy and we enjoyed a bottle of cold wine under the trees after our tasting. I was sad we didn't get to visit a 2nd time during our two day stay. Plenty of seating under the trees as well as a huge open field to play games or let the kids run around. Will be back soon!
  • Very nice staff, great wine & variety. Fun place
  • Awesome place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Railroad Red is my favorite, but you can do a tasting and try all their wines. Mary knew all the wines and made great recommendations.
  • Friendly staff. Nice selection. Railroad Red rocks.
