  • While educational, it lacks the crafted stories coupled with relevant artifacts that make a good museum great. Instead, it has questionably historic items tangentially related to each other and their accompanying fun-facts. Even their placards raise concerns of their authenticity in multiple locations! However, it's remarkably balenced in it's retellings. The stories on display here call into question the good and bad of Vermont's history. The surprising nuggets of info here make it a worthwhile visit to a history interested tourist. (Make sure to read some of the notes left in the telegram exhibit. Schools come by often and have their kids write adorable letters to their future ancestors!)
  • A fair collection of artifacts used to describe Vermont's history. During the summer, the museum hosts free outdoor live music on Thursdays. Check museum website for exact schedule.
  • Vermont has a very rich history, this museum send to miss the boat on most of it. The video display hangs and freezes and the gift shop does not bring it's A game. The short video of Leahy being interviewed and the original printing press are two highlights.
  • I'll be honest: it'd be interesting to a history buff or a serious student of Vermont miscellanea, but I wouldn't take a group of schoolkids there, let alone kids who've been riding around in the back of the car on a vacation.
  • Good exhibit that I maybe visited a little too fast. Pricing is decent might worth visiting when in town.
