  • This tour was one of the highlights of my vacation. We were informed of each wolf's and wolf's dog background, most of them very sad. The place is kept up really nice. There were no bad smells and the...  read more »

  • We have been there twice. Both times the staff were very informative, kind and caring. These animals have been rescued from people who thought they should have an exotic animal. There is a small gifit...  read more »
  • This place is wonderful! I am obsessed with Wolves, and currently am taking the path in school to become a wolf ethologist, as they observe wolves and study them without harm to the creatures, and I am very happy with the sanctuary! I have not been to many wolf sanctuaries but I can say for certain Jean Le Fevre has done wonders and really cares about her animals! For two of the comments in here, This place is not a disgrace and the pens are not too small for the wolves as they have wooden cabins rule dens, and big water bucket that is always filled because of the lovely volunteers, and they are bathed and walked the appropriate amount, and this place truly is a refuge for abused and uncared for wolves to thrive and live for life in tranquility and peace. :)
  • What a fantastic place, if you get the chance to visit you wont be disappointed. Stunning creatures living in a happy, caring environment
  • The staff here know a lot about these wolf dogs and are very friendly and answer any questions you have. Wolves are truly majestic creatures, and hearing them all howl together was very beautiful. I would love to go again! Definitely worth the drive
  • i loved it so much.they take such good care of the animals ! it was beautiful area too.and our guide was amazing!i def will try and donate and support them.
  • Absolutely awesome place!! We brought a group of campers from SeaCamp, which is based in Galveston, for a educational visit. The staff was knowledgable and the love for the wolves emanated from them. The fact that they take these animals in and love and care for them is wonderful. For those who have negative comments, if you are not happy with what you see, then go out and work to change the situation. I am sure we all dream of a day when places like this do not NEED to exist. Advocate for responsible pet ownership, offer to volunteer, or just give a donation. But negative comments about a facility that survives on limited funds only scares potential visitors away, along with their money or time. You are doing more damage than good. Please, come see the wolves!! You will be glad you did!!
