  • Great zoo, the staff was friendly and there were lots of cool animals. A great family day at a reasonable price.  more »
  • Great little zoo and better than many in cities twice this size! Well taken care of animals, thoughtful placing of exhibits. Up to date habitats. I've been a member for many years and never tire of go...  more »
  • My boyfriend and I went on a Monday afternoon; we got there around 12:45 PM and did not leave until 4. Perfect day to go because it was not packed or super crowded. The zoo offered a lion training ses...  more »

  • My family and I went yesterday, which was a Saturday, and I was disappointed. It seemed like most of the animals just slept never responded to animal noises almost like they were sedated. Their were a few animals that were not even in their exhibit. I know for sure we went to look at the otter and it wasn't there. You have to put your money in a machine and get your train tokens if you did not purchase them at the entrance and that is a headache. The machine was not taking our one dollar bills so we had to go back to the entrance and buy them while the train did wait on us, it was just a hassle with my two kids. I wish there up-keep was better. Everything looks like it has went down hill. A bottled water was 2.99 that is over priced for water. My 4 year old had a good time so I was just glad of that. I will next time go to the zoo in Birmingham.
  • We LOVE the Montgomery Zoo! I bring my toddlers here almost every week and we never get tired of it. They have amazing exhibits and the animals look happy and healthy unlike some other zoos we have visited. Theres otter, a white tiger, eagles, reptile room, pygmy hippos, giraffes, elephants, ans so much more! They also have a great playground, train, and free petting zoo (the food costs extra but very well priced). Definitely recommend the membership because it pays for itself in just a few visits!
  • Amazing place full of lots of open areas to view the animals without the bars or cages. The petting zoo and it's staff are the best. Well worth the price of admission.
  • Super zoo. Animals all over the place from around the world. A lot of sun, so take an umbrella or sunscreen if it's hot. There are misters, though. Nice playground for the kids, and lunch didn't cost add much as theme parks, but it was expensive.
  • Animals very well kept but Zoo staff and people you talk on the phone are rude. Website says open daily at 9, but at the bottom of the hours and prices page it says in July Tuesday 11am. It is not clear and we drovery almost 2 hours to have to wait until it was opened. Most of the staff is disrespectful and would ignore you. The only ones I found to be nice were the ones driving around on the golf cart. I was not the only family that was out there at 9, there were at least 8 other families and they didn't care. Make sure you read through all the words on the website, but I worn you it is wordy!
