  • In many people that visit had monuments commemorative of the war of secession. I think that history should be respected. Do not ignore or try to delete. This monument was the most impressive thing we visited and it is really very nice.

  • The craftsmanship it took to create this thing is unreal. there are at least four "faces" to the monument and each one is as intricately carved and assembled as the other. Also an easy stop and look a...  more »

  • Incredible experience! The man that greeted us knew so much! The ladies that have kept this up are so dedicated and have created a great historical spot! Each room is put together as though Davis was there yesterday! Thank you!
  • The times we live in and the ways in which we have changed as a society can make this a complicated place to visit. It is part of our history though, so it has value both in acknowledging where we have come from and where we should go from here. The staff was very knowledgable and kept the history this place represents from being divisive.
  • Pretty cool little place. Doesn't take long to walk through, but definitely worth checking out!
  • while the state park in Kentucky will not sell flags of the south , they are sold at the first white house of the Confederacy. No flash photos . There is much in term of history and books. there is a small disable parking in the back with a ramp ! I got the DVD of Jefferson Davis life . the only president of the Confederacy life has many lessons ! I recommend a visit !
  • Really enjoyed the tour guide made you feel like you were back in the civil war period
