Cute small and clean beach, nice for kids. Easy parking, lots of picnic tables, very clean. Not overcrowded which was nice. Fun walking trails.
All these photos are still representing the pond and park as they are today. Nothing's changed. Still a perfect place.
Took nice hike around the lake and a section of AT. Great park but costs $10 to park. You can also go boating, fishing, camping, picnicking or relax at the small beach area
Great grounds for both on and off season camping.
Winter camp for a week, with few amenities. Rangers showed up first night to collect fee and provide firewood. Saw them briefly passing by once after. Nice State Park. Close to Appalachian Trail. Place was deserted, saw two other persons in the week. Close for a ride to area's upscale hippie towns.
We were looking for the campsite within the park - and followed the Google map to 69 Blue Hill Road in Great Barrington - this nice family told us that the park was over in the next town. The park ranger confirmed that the actual address of their offices is 69 Blue Hill Road, Monterey, MA. Don't let this address confuse you! There are only 14 campsites there, but they are by a beautiful lake and we had a wonderful time there when we finally found it.
