  • I absolutely loved visiting the very tip of Long Island and taking a tour of this historic lighthouse. I enjoyed to climb to the top and looking out over the ocean and stepping out onto the catwalk. Very windy the day I was there but I think the high winds made it more interesting. The visitor center was well laid out and informative, from ghost stories, shoreline erosion and a Presidential visit from Colonel Theodore Roosevelt! Stop off at the Lobster Roll on your way to Montauk for the complete experience.
  • Rode my road bike through beautiful rolling dunes and hills through lush greens to the light house. Beautiful views of the coast. At the house are bathrooms (for paying guests only), soda machines, and a gift shop. Nearby another food place. Entrance fee is $11 for the light house and the museum. Wasn't worth it since there are several view points on much higher hills on the way to the light house.
  • I love lighthouses and this one is really good. There is a small museum downstairs. You can go upstairs to the room where light is. The view from this high point is incredible! Also you can take a walk near the water and waves on the stoned small road around lighthouse. Good place for landscaping photography. Strongly recommend
  • Beautiful state park, quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately we had to leave early after finding a swarm of ticks crawling up each of our legs. Luckily we brushed them off before any impaled themselves into us. However the dog was not so lucky and we counted 22 that we pulled out.
  • Had a great time. Beautiful, historical, educational, interactive, and fun. Dress warm, it's breezy in any season's climate. For those who have trouble climbing the hill walkway, they offer a sort of golf cart ride. Gift shop has nice items at modest prices.
