  • Spent a few hours in this mill building where the store is located. Great cubby holes where you can read, relax, etc. Many folks with their lap tops also. Interesting selection of books across several...  read more »
  • We stopped at the book ill after it being recommended by someone we were visiting. We each found several books and enjoyed the relaxed setting. Old easy chair by an open window, listening to the water...  read more »
  • The Montague Bookmill is a marvel for booklovers. The converted building includes so many private nooks for reading or studying. Upstairs is more of a library environment. Downstairs is a little more ...  read more »
  • I ate lunch here. The menu was very small, maybe 8 items only. There was a sauce on everything that had spoiled so the food was inedible. But very nice location, comfortable environment on a stream, good beer selection, friendly staff. Get the drinks not the food.
  • Great views and tranquility. It's a great afternoon just to lounge about browsing the books. Plus the Alvah Stone has great food and awesome music. The acoustic blues guitarist Eli was amazing!
  • Definitely a five star... I haven't had a chance to check out their book selection, so I can't talk about the quality of their selection, although I liked the few books that I saw, and checked out... But my five star is all about the location, location, location... I'll leave it for the poets and writers to describe the serenety and tranquility of this place, and I'll leave the nature lovers to elaborate on what a rushing river (mini waterfall) and luscious greenery should do to you, and you know what! I'll even let people who are into ASMR "whisper" to you all about the senses of this place... But for me, an ordinary person, with a schedule to fulfill, and not the biggest book Reader, it was the combination of all of the above and more! The comfy chairs, the amazing breeze coming through the windows, the noise of the rushing water... And of course free and fast WiFi. To finish up my review I'll say this: this is the most unique book store I have ever been, and if you are looking for a place to unplug, and read a book, you now know where to go! * worth a detour, * free fast WiFi, * a restaurant and cafe on site, * you can walk down to the river,
  • Awesome place. Very unique bookstore/cafe in a cool location. Love going there.
  • Books you don't need in a place you can't find. Absolutely worth getting lost.
