Well, if you think you are showing up to a vineyard in Sanoma you are in for a surprise. This place is beside the food lion and there are minority projects within 6 blocks. Is it cool? Yeh I guess but... more »
I just came back from a nice afternoon at Treehouse Vineyards. My friend's mom got a groupon for 4 to taste and tour and for two bottles of wine. We had a good time with the tour, but the rest of our ... more »
We LOVE visiting Treehouse! Such a relaxing atmosphere with amazing wine! We love to bring our own cheese and crackers to sit and enjoy with a bottle of wine. They also have a snacks to purchase there... more »
Used to love going to this place. It was the perfect "date" with hubby where we could enjoy a glass of wine while our kids played cornhole or fed the horse. This place used to be advertised as family friendly, now it's the opposite. Mind you, my kids are not the wild kind, and we avoided going when the place was busy. I'm all about supporting local businesses, but when they loose what makes them special/unique, I'll take my business elsewhere. :'(
Great place to hang out on the weekend with live music and a muscadine slushy. The Groupon special that they usually run is a great deal. We have friends from MI that we took there once and every time they come to town they mention wanting to make a special trip to Monroe for Treehouse. :)
On the recommendation of an acquaintance, I went at night for the music, band called GalFriday was playing and really good. The venue is small & cozy, although located in an area of town I would have never guessed. Designated parking lot is somewhat limited and very dark, overflow is on neighborhood streets that seemed a little iffy; need to check it out during the day to see where I really was, so I'll reserve making any comment on the accuracy of website photos. Nice little lawn area with trees and small stage easily view-able, they have rocking chairs & fire pits too (although didn't realize you had to rent those, which are a little pricey IMO). Monroe is not Napa Valley so don't expect it to be or to have the same wine selections, their wine was fine for the type of grapes. Dog owners... I was told the venue was dog friendly so I brought mine, only for him to be snarled and snapped at (unantagonized) by one of the host dogs belonging to Treehouse Vineyards. I was told later from a "regular" the offending dog is a rescued stray that doesn't like other dogs! Why on earth this dog would be allowed to roam free on the grounds is beyond me (mine was leashed), it kept circling my area looking for trouble so I couldn't let my guard down to relax, which really took away from an otherwise enjoyable evening. Even though my dog is very social, submissive, and most likely wouldn't fight back, I'll be sure to leave him home next time, not worth the possibility of something bad happening - Bummer... I probably would have given this a higher rating had it actually been a dog friendly venue, with friendly dogs.
The tour & wine tasting are Great!! A lot of great inexpensive wines made right there at their vineyard. They have a unique wine-slush making kit that is really neat and will make nice Christmas gifts.
My heart flutters at this place! It's so cute and quaint - the owners is so sweet. The wine is great especially the date night wine. The tree-houses are amazing, there's live music, and they are starting to do weddings at the vineyard. It's about 45 mins southeast of Charlotte and definitely worth the drive. Great place for a girls trip or date night! I came from Atlanta just to visit this winery and I'm so glad I did!
