  • This place is highly underrated. There are a few unpaved loops which offer an amazing view of wild life - bisons, deers. One has to be patient to watch the bisons as they are visible high up - they on...  more »

  • We always try to take out of state visitors up to the Bison Range for a tour. It is easy since you just drive around the loop. Make sure you get out and look around too. Some of the most beautiful Bit...  more »

  • Beautiful. Well worth the time. Set aside at least 3 hours to drive any of the trails. We did see bison fairly close to us, however we were there closer to sunset, when they were more active.
  • Nice place to spend few hours. Do the full 2 hour loop and you may be able to see one or two bear as well. Bisons, wild sheep, deers and elks can be seen very easily.
  • Visitor center is set up well. Informative and educational. We have never failed to see something be it at a distance. The view of how lake Missoula's heights with the lap lines or the flow ripples of the drainage channel is very interesting. Self guided tour.
  • Bison meat was delicious you did not need no bun lettuce tomato nothing it taste Fabulous by itself
  • We did the full loop and we were quite disappointed with the amount of wildlife we saw. It was mostly common deer! We saw less than 10 bison (all very far away) and we were there for about 2.5 hrs. I'm giving it 3 stars as there is the small chance you may see bears. The road is a dirt/gravel road and is somewhat narrow.
