  • From the minute you pull up curbside this place pulls you in. The architecture is magnificent. The surrounding grounds perfectly groomed. I could spend hours going through the rooms marveling at all of the details. Add to this the added bonus of being able to rent this jewel for private events. I was very fortunate to have recently coordinated a wedding at the mansion ( I own Magical Moments Event Planning and Coordinating). Laura, Lana and staff are over the top sweet hearts. I would love to work with these ladies any day! And the room back drops are a photographers dream for wedding shots. I highly recommend McHenry Mansion for an afternoon sight seeing as well as a private event venue!
  • Loved the history of our towns historical place. So glad it was free.
  • The mansion was beautifully decorated for the season. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a very enjoyable experience.
  • Very interesting little mansion. Met a very helpful and fun older women named Carletta to guide my tour. The people are all friendly and the tour is very interesting (not to mention free). Whether you like it or not depends on your fascination with history, but to me this is a must stop to enjoy a slice of Modesto's past with the addition of pleasant company.
  • Beautiful historical destination.
