  • It is worth to take a break here. It's very touristy, but here there is much fun and also interesting to see.

  • This was a neat place to stop. House built into the rock by hand. Impressive work was done. I'd hang out here.  more »
  • I wasn't able to go inside this wondrous roadside Americana, as I drove by 15 minutes after closing time. But it's impossible to drive by and not stop, and from what I could see at the front, this one...  more »

  • We got to this destination at around 2:45 and were really excited to get to see the tour, as this has been something we've wanted to do for about 3 years now. Anyway, we all get out of the car and have to use the bathroom. We walk into two different buildings and can't find them. No problem, we just asked one of the shopkeepers. We go, and walk around looking at trinkets. Right as we exit the shop, we are told that they are completely closing down for the day. The hours are clearly stated as 9-5, and there had been plenty of opportunities for the employees to tell us about the earlier closing time. We weren't able to go on the 12 minute tour, and were instead rushed out of the gates. A highly disappointing visit overall.
  • The cave house tour was interesting. The original owner had quite a vision for a house. We were very sad for all the animals on exhibit. I'm positive that they never get out of their small enclosures. They seemed well fed but depressed. The house tour could probably stand alone without the animals living such a tourtured solitary lives. Very very sad....
  • I've driven by so many times and finally decided to stop. I got to see the house which was pretty cool. There's lots of fun stuff for the kids to see, there's a little zoo next to one of the shops. Dont miss the jeep on top of the mountain lol
  • Tourist trap, with not much to see at all. And i definitely don't support a too small zoo, too small for the animals that is. Just ignore it.
  • A great place to stop and see learn a lot of facts about the territory and has souvenirs to take home with a museum also I believe I remember seeing that place in a movie I cannot recall the name

Where to stay in Moab

For affordable accommodations away from tourist crowds, stay outside Moab's busy downtown. Many inns in this area offer free shuttle services to the central part of town, allowing you quick and easy access to Moab's finest shops and restaurants. If you do not plan to spend much time in your room, consider staying at a budget-friendly motel or hostel. For the ultimate in outdoorsy options, campgrounds inside the area's national parks make up what they lack in modern amenities with their panoramic views of the red desert.
