Corona Arch, Moab

Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.9/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web
Noteworthy Corona Arch, a natural sandstone formation, is the main attraction of the Corona Arch Trail. Along the 2.4 km (1.5 mi) trail, you'll pass Bowtie Arch and Goldbar Arch before reaching the culmination of the trail at Corona Arch. Here you can admire and photograph the towering red formation, formed by countless years of erosion, and a colorful canyon. Though much of the hike is fairly easy, you will have to ascend a ladder and use a safety cable in one area. Wear sun protection, as there is very little shade along the way, or consider an early morning or early evening hike to the arch. Put Corona Arch on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Moab holiday planner.

  • This was a beautiful short hike if you are in decent shape. There is some climbing involved but it is all well worth it. Bring a snack and enjoy it under the shade of the arch.
  • Relatively easy hike. Some uphill. Some heights. Beautiful scenery. We still have tons of energy left to hit the Klondike trails afterward.
  • The Park is worth a visit, he is good at any time of the year, this arch is well photographed from certain angles

  • Beautiful views! The hike was about 5 miles round trip, though there's 1 spot that was super scary and my boyfriend went on. I only did 2 miles. You get some great views, it is not nearly as crowded as the NP, it is free and you see 3 arches! The Utah state website suggested it and it was worth it!
  • Simple and enjoyable hike. Beautiful Vistas and friendly people to talk to along the way. International appeal minus the traffic of arches national park ⛲
  • Its a nice hike it's a pretty hot hike tho so plan to hike on a cloudy day, enjoy! 😃
  • Great little hike. Arrive at the arch just before dusk for some great photos.
  • Beautiful arch with a moderate hike. The hike is pretty easy until near the end it has a couple really steep sections that require you to use a ladder and steel cable.
