  • This is a wonderful place for the family. Lots of exhibits and specimens to view. Plus a nice trail to walk. Very friendly staff and helpful
  • Neat little wooded area. I'd suggest stopping. The museum is neat. Cheap for what you get.
  • This a very fun trip. Learned a lot would diffenitly recommend this to someone who loves learning big and loves nature. And the jewelry was great and good priced. My wife got a lot of good pieces for a great price.
  • We went on a Homeschool Field Trip here. It is a self guided tour with a brochure that gives a wealth of information about the area. We had a great trip and had a picnic afterwards at their picnic Pavillion area.
  • After living in Mississippi for over 10 years now, we finally made it out to Flora to visit this amazing petrified forest and I'm so glad we did. My oldest son, who is 11, was our "trail guide" as he elected to read aloud each of the numbered facts for us as we walked along. My 9 year old loved the cool, higher peaks and wished he could have climbed them all. Could definitely see us going back again when my younger boys (5 & 7) get a bit older so they can truly appreciate this special place. I have to say how very kind and so welcoming the owners were, when we arrived back I had some further questions and the sweet couple behind the counter happily answered them and even pulled out some of their oldest books to show us pictures and other detailed facts about the petrified forest. I found it all really interesting. All 4 of my boys loved panning for gems afterwards as well, and their indoor exhibits were equally fascinating to look at. Overall, a fun learning experience for my family!
