Target Field, Minneapolis

4.7
#1 of 47 in Fun & Games in Minnesota
Fun & Games Sports Complex
Home of the Minnesota Twins, ESPN ranked Target Field the number one baseball stadium experience in America. View a game from the Budweiser roof deck, where the only bonfire in the major league exists. Consider trying the Jucy Lucy burger at the Town Ball Tavern on the upper concourse. Many of the concessions are served on a stick, with the exceptions of Minnesota favorites, such as walleye and wild rice soup. Consider enjoying a cold drink at Twins Pub, the only indoor bar with a view over the field. A visit to Target Field represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Minneapolis tourist route planner to plot your vacation.

Where to stay in Minneapolis

To stay in the thick of tourist action, choose a hotel in downtown Minneapolis. This area offers many independent and chain hotels, with rooms that range from budget-friendly to high-end. You can also stay close to the area by exploring mid-range hotels just a few blocks from downtown that are set in quieter neighborhoods with fewer tourists. If you have access to a car and don't mind driving to most major attractions, you can consider a good value motel or inn just outside the city.

  • Target Field is a great social scene even if the Twins aren't winning. Great food options, mostly respectful fans and so much to see besides a baseball game. Great for out of towners!  more »

  • Went to a game with my wife's family the Friday before Memorial Day. Our seats were at the very top of the stadium (row 14 of section 307). Even though we were so high, the view of the game was great. Sadly, the Twins lost, but it was still a fun game. As a side note, we brought our Finnish exchange student and she had a great time. When one of the Twins guest attendants found out she was along, she brought out a bag of Twins souvenir stuff and have it to our student. It was super nice and unexpected, but made her day.
  • Nice new ballpark with good sustainability goals. Love the multiple selections of craft beers and food options. What's really interesting is the number of areas where you can actually hang out (bars and other spots) outside of your seat without disturbing the other fans.. I'm guessing that serves the fans well on a day that the weather is off
  • Great new stadium! Open to the fresh air, and the elements. When it rains, there is plenty of room inside to stand, not as much room to watch the game. Great bars located throughout the stadium. Prices of food and beverage are high, but not terrible.
  • What a great experience! Food and drinks are pricey, very pricey, but as we expected they would be. Great selection tho, something for everyone. Seats are comfortable, easy to get to and the stairs aren't steep and nerve wracking like the dome was. Plenty of souvenirs, lots of vendors walking around with stuff to stuff your face with. The field is beautiful! Literally breathtaking. And a huge jumbotron. We went for Target Field's longest Twins game to date. And regardless, announcers and players kept their sense of humor. The entire experience, including the excitement of the crowd, was truly entertaining. What a great experience. We can't wait to go again!
  • Nice ballpark. Friendly gate staff kept the line moving through security. Family friendly venue, good (expensive) food options. Good transportation options from parking ramps to public transit - train stops right in front of the park.
