  • We came here to Ice Skate. Its free to skate and for the skate rental, pleasant surprise. It ended up snowing while we were there so the park looked beautiful. There is a warming tent with a good view...  more »
  • We went to Holidazle and wasn't sure how to review it, so I'm reviewing the park in the hopes that it will be helpful to someone. The sidewalks in the park were not scooped, which made it difficult to...  more »
  • Center of the city near the Walker Art Center and Sculpture Gardens and the Basillica. Artsy bridge crossing from the Walker to the park. Several nice restaurants near here.  more »

  • Went there because the wine tasting was a flop. Got on the ice skates for the first time in 30 years. Chased the kids around the rink. Then walked to get some mini doughnuts and cheese curds. And finally went and got some hot chocolate from Misfit Coffee. It all kicked butt. I will be back.
  • Minnesota fans should definitely check this out. I don't drink but they have lots of featured local craft beers and ciders. This is also a really great place to bring your dog.
  • Now that the holidazzle parade is gone, we were searching for a new tradition. I think this is it! Kids had a great time seeing Santa and there was fun for Mom and Dad there too.
  • A great place to bring family, we had so much fun skating & the kids loved paying on the haystacks & slides!
  • It was fun but, you can't help but feel bad for all the folks who enjoy the park after hours, having all this family oriented stuff soiling Loring Park's reputation. Lololols

Where to stay in Minneapolis

To stay in the thick of tourist action, choose a hotel in downtown Minneapolis. This area offers many independent and chain hotels, with rooms that range from budget-friendly to high-end. You can also stay close to the area by exploring mid-range hotels just a few blocks from downtown that are set in quieter neighborhoods with fewer tourists. If you have access to a car and don't mind driving to most major attractions, you can consider a good value motel or inn just outside the city.
