  • Located in Wirth Park in Minneapolis, it is a quiet, woodsy and serene oasis from the city. Great for all ages.  more »
  • Very nice and pretty. Sort of confusing to walk through if you haven't been there before, but it's not that big so you cannot get lost. It closes at sunset though, so be aware of that.  more »
  • Enjoy a beautiful walk around Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden... The winter it is closed (gated) but the summer allows free access to the gardens. A lovely retreat  more »

  • This place is soooo beautiful! Every season is on full display here. There are a handful of distinct microclimates to explore and learn about the native (and some not) flora. They have maps and info packs if you really want to learn. It is supposed to be a fantastic spot for bird watching (being a bird sanctuary and all...). They have fun and educational events for kids and adults. It's a very worthwhile place to go to learn, walk and of course, relax....
  • If your inner botanist is calling, this is the spot. Free, relatively unknown, and very tranquil, save for the occasional amateur wildlife photographer. A surprisingly lengthy yet compact trail system that takes you through zones of forest, river, prairie and meadow. Flowers may or may not be super abundant, and probably depends on the time of year. Lots of shady parts, if you're escaping summer heat, and benches in abundant supply if you can stop texting for a moment and just take it all in. Who knows, some critter not often seen might scurry by. I would recommend obeying the signs that tell you to not venture off the path, especially if you're allergic to poison ivy.
  • Beautiful trails. The mulch is soft, and it seems to be really nice on the knees. There is a great variety of plants, and it is so relaxing. I will return again and again.
  • my boy and i frequent this little green oasis pretty regularly. always a treat.
  • Beautiful, serene, amazing. A great way to leave the city behind
