  • This Nature Preserve is laid out well and you can feed the fish and have a picnic. Good parking area. High point to look out over East Texas. Trails are great for walks and a bike trail.
  • Had an enjoyable time as a demonstrator of woodturning representing East Texas Woodturners at the recent Naturefest event.
  • An amazing place to walk, hike & birdwatch. Hubby & I could spend an entire day exploring here. We saw an alligator in a pond less than 10 FT from us, several birds we'd never seen before, snakes, hug...  more »

  • One of the best places to visit in East Texas. They have mountain bike, walking and equestrian trails. There is tons of wildlife. There is good parking, rest rooms and water fountains. There is a playground for children. (They should claim best view from a playground anywhere.) The view to the South from the Pavilion is fantastic. Facilities in large cities can't compete with this nature preserve / city park. This is a great place to take your family.
  • Awesome place to relax, hike, or have a picnic. Lots to see and do
  • Love it so much getting Married there!
  • Walked to the Sabine River bottom with the kids. Awesome adventure they will remember forever, especially the wobbly bridge!
  • Really underrated. I loved this place. Great for a walk, or a bike ride. Perfect for large dogs.
