(3.9/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Millbrook Vineyards & Winery , the premiere wine estate in New York's Hudson Valley, was the first in the region dedicated exclusively to the production of vinifera grapes. Millbrook is owned and operated by Pebble Ridge Vineyards & Wine Estates, a wine group created by John and Kathe Dyson, devoted to producing the very finest wines of their particular growing regions. Millbrook Vineyards & Winery began as a 130-acre coverted dairy farm with his winemaking partner, John Graziano in 1985. Today, the Millbrook estate bottled wine roster includes Tocai Friulano, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. The winery produces over 12,000 cases of wine annually and is open for guided tours and wine tastings year round.

  • Great place. Nice folks. Loved the tour. Learned a lot about grape growing and winemaking. Wines are classic cool climate flavors. Love it! And the views are unsurpassed.
  • My friend and I chose to visit this place because their website said this place was ah hour and a half from Albany and from New York City.My fiend DID get there from Albany in a hour and a half. I hav...  more »
  • Went to Millbrook on a Saturday afternoon, and it was busy. Still, it was not so crowded that we could not enjoy ourselves. On the contrary, we really enjoyed ourselves. Wine is such a personal taste,...  more »

  • There were two things this winery was missing besides great wine. One is the ability to taste a variety of wines. I went to a winery in Michigan and they let you try any wine that they make. I bought all kinds of wine tours because of it, and I left there with a dozen bottles of wine. It encouraged you to sample and buy more wines, and quite frankly to make judgments while inebriated. This place had six wines that they let you try and that was it and I wasn't crazy about any of them. Second was an experienced fun tour guide. He was nice and all that, but everything was in college terms, it's so cool, or um, or its crazy how they make wine man. It's just lacked a certain maturity and flair for a vineyard, not to mention great wines or the ability to pick what I taste. That being said, it was beautiful and I do not regret coming, but that could be due to drinking quantities of wine, and spending time with family I haven't seen in a while.
  • I love visiting Millbrook! The people are welcoming and friendly, the wines are good and the setting....beautiful. Scott and Merrill in the tasting room are the best! The Saturday jazz in July and August is a great event too. John Dyson, owner of Millbrook, purchased Williams Selyem several years ago. So if you are a W/S fan, you can buy many of their award winning, vineyard designated wines from California (primarily from Sonoma County). These wines are delicious, highly allocated and very hard to find.
  • While pricier than others, for $15 you'll get a wine tasting of 6 wines and a tour if the facility. I would recommend doing the tour if it's your first time, but otherwise do the testing, buy a bottle and head upstairs to the outdoor deck.
  • Beautiful grounds with the fall foliage. Great wine as well.
  • Love their tour! Great view. Really nice. Good wine too. I love their Oil too.
