Paddleboarding is so much fun at Robious Landing. Black Dog Paddle Co offers amazing trading and pack paddle excursions. Trails are great for hiking. Chesterfield County gets it right as they develop fun spots for people to enjoy sports : recreation.

great space but if you're unmarried and without children, you will feel judged by the people who are there and hassled by police for existing and wanting to meditate peacefully at the river. i've experienced discrimination here countless times but i refuse to let closed-minded individuals to scare me from enjoying this public space

Very limited area, but pretty. For that large area of expansive new development, a larger park is essential for wildlife at the river. Taking the home habitat from deer leaves them vulnerable to traffic & searching for any kind of food. A large wooden privacy fence runs the sideline near the entry. Very odd looking & the 6 pretty deer couldn't walk the river front to get away from people & 3 dogs. Fencing off even a narrow strip, so deer don't have the safety of their river walk makes one question who chose that. Horrible to block wildlife from nature & safety. They headed straight up the hill along that 8 ft tall fence toward the neighborhood fronting Robious Rd. Fencing out nature at the river? Greedy decision. Cruel & unnatural. Very unsightly fence. We walked back & forth 4 times before deciding that a normal walk is better at a larger park.

Free, good parking, nice canoe launch, good dock. The walking trails are peaceful.
