  • We really like this park! It is on the James River with river acess, picnic tables and restroom building. Mostly woodland trails (cleared and graded) with some paved paths. Dogs on leases are welcome.
  • This is the park used by several rowing teams including teams from University of Richmond, and VCU, as well as a few High School teams I believe. The launch dock is excellent and easy to use. The park...  more »

  • This is a great place for boaters and people that like to jog on the trail. There's a great boat slide made of real wood that is still strong and intact. Wonderful trails to walk your dog down. I take my dog Maxwell swimming there when you walk down the trail to the left, go over two bridges, And then you'll, on a Boatlanding that allows the dogs to run in and out the water with a small beach on each side
  • This is a great park next to the river. One can go jet skiing or kayaking. There are also nets set up and a big parking lot.
  • First ramp in the woods is somewhat secluded and shaded(nice). Downside is river silt that gets under your nails.
  • Wonderful park - wooded walking trails, river access, playground, picnic area and deer. Thoroughly enjoyed the park.
  • Peaceful, great hiking trails. Beautiful scenery, especially along the river.
