  • We really like this park! It is on the James River with river acess, picnic tables and restroom building. Mostly woodland trails (cleared and graded) with some paved paths. Dogs on leases are welcome.

  • Loved it! Wonderful place to go with children. Just beautiful ! Playground ; walking paths; kayaking; running . Definitely worth the detour
  • This is a great place for boaters and people that like to jog on the trail. There's a great boat slide made of real wood that is still strong and intact. Wonderful trails to walk your dog down. I take my dog Maxwell swimming there when you walk down the trail to the left, go over two bridges, And then you'll, on a Boatlanding that allows the dogs to run in and out the water with a small beach on each side
  • This is a great park next to the river. One can go jet skiing or kayaking. There are also nets set up and a big parking lot.
  • Wonderful park - wooded walking trails, river access, playground, picnic area and deer. Thoroughly enjoyed the park.
  • First ramp in the woods is somewhat secluded and shaded(nice). Downside is river silt that gets under your nails.
  • Outstanding trails both wooded and along the river. There are two 5K runs. One on July 4th snd the other on the last Saturday in October.
