  • Nice place to take a hike. Great view from the top of the Washington Monument. Visit during the summer, when the bathrooms are open. Nice playground for children.  more »

  • Short walk from the parking lot to the monument which is great if you have small children in tow. Great views from the base of the monument. You can also take stairs to access the observation point at the top of the monument.
  • Awesome views. Walk to the top of the monument for the best ones! Don't let your kids play on the treacherous rock pile in front of the monument! I don't care if you are a free spirit hipster that's just asking for accidents! =/
