  • I had passed by this place many times. Today, I went in. I made the hike to the very top, and I was glad I did. Please note the trail is gradual, but it is dirt no not too good for wheelchairs. The to...  more »
  • Great place for a great view. The park is a bit off the beaten path but good views and easy hike for the kids. Stroller friendly pay and a play area for the kids
  • A nice spot with historical significance. The Appalachian trail transits through, north and south but it's pretty rough - not suitable for small kids or strollers. Toilets were not operational in late February and the porta-potty was very full. Nasty. Be prepared. Overall, a nice place to visit with some beautiful views from the monument area.
  • Appalachian Trail runs through here. Great camping site and facility.
  • Short walk from the parking lot to the monument which is great if you have small children in tow. Great views from the base of the monument. You can also take stairs to access the observation point at the top of the monument.
  • Awesome views. Walk to the top of the monument for the best ones! Don't let your kids play on the treacherous rock pile in front of the monument! I don't care if you are a free spirit hipster that's just asking for accidents! =/
