  • For about 2 weeks each year, when the sunflowers are in peak bloom, this place is spectacular! Just west of Madison, it makes an excellent day trip for a summer outing.  more »
  • Really hate to tell you about it because more people will come. It gets busy during sunflower bllom but is a great place to hike, run and picnic..a real gem.  more »
  • One of the most pleasant places to visit to see the thousands of sun flowers. The first time you see all the flowers, you can't believe it. There is also a nice area for picnicing  more »

  • One of my favorite places in this greater-Madison area. It is very special to me! I love to come here on my work break and explore the area, walk the trails, or just lay in the grass. It is a quiet and calm place. No dogs allowed since it is a conservancy, but there are tons of birds and flowers and a nice little variety of trails. Be sure to explore further in as those are some of my favorite views there.
  • Great way to learn about nature and the difference between weeds and grasses and flowers. They have this awesome concrete structure from the 1930's that looks interesting. Not as many bugs as I thought there would be -- lots of cute beetles, however.
  • Great for hiking and some fresh air.
  • Such a fun place for my kids to run around. Great picture opportunities!
  • Well worth the visit.
