  • Pope Farm is located off of Old Sauk in Middleton. Ample parking and an opportunity to walk in an open prairie location.
  • Each year, the Conservency plants about 10 acres of sunflowers. When they bloom, this sight is amazing. Plan to walk a bit to get to the sunflowers. They rotate the crops so the location is not the sa...  more »

  • One of my favorite places in this greater-Madison area. It is very special to me! I love to come here on my work break and explore the area, walk the trails, or just lay in the grass. It is a quiet and calm place. No dogs allowed since it is a conservancy, but there are tons of birds and flowers and a nice little variety of trails. Be sure to explore further in as those are some of my favorite views there.
  • Great way to learn about nature and the difference between weeds and grasses and flowers. They have this awesome concrete structure from the 1930's that looks interesting. Not as many bugs as I thought there would be -- lots of cute beetles, however.
  • Such a fun place for my kids to run around. Great picture opportunities!
  • Good place for walking out of city. Be ready for millions of mosquitos:)
  • Really neat place to see the sunflowers and free!
