  • The Capital Brewery was one of the first craft breweries in Madison. Their flagship beers are pretty standard (in my opinion), but they have some very good specialty and seasonal brews. Their Oktoberf...  read more »

  • A few members of a business group decided to go to the brewery and just relax. There was a team event going on and they made the place quite lively with all their team bonding games. The beer was good...  read more »
  • This brewery continues a long slide to mediocrity. Despite a new brewer the beers are very similar. This worked for 10 years but now it just doesn't cut it. I don't know why they keep bringing in crappy bands on Fridays because no one really goes there for the music anyway. The place is a good place to let the kids run around while mom and dad drink.
  • For sure one of the highest price tours for the little amount of beer you get. $7 gets you 4 very small samples or 1 pint of there beer and a tour. The tour isn't a very long one (About 15-20 mins) and was quite disappointed with the whole thing. Tour guide seemed really unenthusiastic and bored with his job. Last the day was also insanely hot and the inside bar was closed off? I would not go back to this tour and the beer was nothing to write home about.
  • Brewery tour was really nice, friendly staff, informative on the process. I would recommend the tour and the beer garden!which had live bands and family friendly atmosphere
  • My family loved the beer tour and souvenir shop here. The tour is definitely a must-do, and it includes a free Capital Brewery glass and beer sample tokens. The outdoor seating area is a great addition to the experience when you can visit in the summer.
  • Good beer in a nice setting. I wish Iowa had a beer garden like that. However, the tour was hot and disappointing. The tour guide only knew about filling kegs and shipping product; he didn't even know how long it took to make the wort. I recommend checking out the beer garden on a Friday or Saturday night, but only take the $7 tour if you want a souvenir glass.
