  • Ok, this may be an unfair rating. I've been to Lyman's numerous times. Typically I'd give a 4 rating. My kids love picking the apples and feeding the ducks. Every year I've gone has been good. A bit e...  more »

  • Great pick-your-own throughout the various seasons. Apples, pears, strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins, etc. It's usually busy but the lines aren't crazy long. They charge per pound which allows you to easily spend as much or little as you want, versus the places that make you pay by the bag/container.
  • After reading other's dismay with your business, I felt the need to add to their writings. We have visited twice within the last 6 weeks. Your deli is a complete mess without any organization or guidance. We came in shortly after your re-opening and your staff was happy and the food was good. Your manager made sure that everyone was happy that was waiting in line and thanked them for being there. Now everyone looks miserable, your food is horrible, the wait is too long and there isn't a presence in the market that there used to be. You had it right Lyman's a year ago when you made the changes that you did. THIS WAS A BIG MISTAKE. Whomever this "Ben" is that you have mentioned in your prior copy and paste emails, there ISN'T anyone behind that counter taking any ownership or making any changes. You should have stopped when you had it right!!! Look at the faces on the miserable people that work for you....are you looking at them or through them because you certainly aren't paying attention. We will now go to Bishops as they smile and remain consistent. Shame on you.
  • This place just simple amazing. The town is gorgeous! Specially to be in a hill for a picnic or buying the best pie in town!
  • First of all, i should of know better and listened to the poor reviews. This is our first year in Connecticut and my husband and i wanted to have a day to relax and enjoy something we used to do back home in New York. Welp, needless to say that did not happen. We went to get a bite to eat, not only was the staff rude, but didnt get the order right at all. To add harm to injury, i went to talk to the person that gave us our food and tried to explain to them it was wrong and I recieved nothing but a rude responce, i simply asked for my money back and we left. I will say this, for a first impression and being a person that has over 10 years of customer service and food experience, this was not impressive. If this is how you treat your customers, you will not have repeat business. I will not be coming here ever again and sorry to say you lost a customer.
  • Was nice to bring kids for Apple's, was let down by the selection of items in the store not to mention the bake foods we got were horrible I get better tasting pastry from the local gas station
