  • I took out of town guests here on Saturday, April 1. The wine tasting was conducted in the basement in a nondescript room. Could have been in a warehouse or a storage facility. Absolutely no ambiance....  more »
  • Thanks Jim! Very generous and warm atmosphere. The wine was tasty and well presented. We spent quite awhile at this vineyard.  more »
  • This is not our first visit, but since they consistently deliver a great experience, I thought it was time to write a review. The staff here is wonderful, courteous and hospitable! The views are beaut...  more »
  • Winery: Building sits on top of a hill giving panoramic views. The grapes are grown on property but not visible. A nice and clean facility. It was empty but it was a Tuesday afternoon. Lots of seating around the building and some shaded seats available. Staff: the young lady that helped us was pleasant. She had very little experience opening wine. The management would be wise to teach those that open the bottles, how to open the bottles. She chipped the first bottle she attempted to open. We asked about a Viognier as it is a popular varietal in VA. She said that it was reserved for VIP members. Kind of a turn off that we weren't "VIP" enough to have the chance to order what we wanted. Wine: We had the Albarino. Pear flavors. Clean finish. Slightly acidic. Pretty decent. Overall a nice experience. Staff was the let down
  • The wines here are good. However, what really sets it apart is the staff. The tasting staff was phenomenal. They were very knowledgeable as well as being friendly. We wanted to spend the whole afternoon just tasting wine and visiting with the staff.
  • No one greeted us when we walked up to the counter next to the sign that says "sign up for tastings here," despite the fact that three staff members were standing there. It was our first time at the winery. After some time passed, a staff member finally came down and asked if anyone needed help. I raised my hand and she had us move down the counter for us pay. We had an indoor tasting. The wine left a lot to be desired for. We purchased one bottle but regretted contributing any more money to he winery after our checkout experience. They focus a lot on if you are a member or not. After the tasting we were walking around and selected a book to purchase as well. We were in mid conversation when a staff member working the register abruptly called us over to checkout. We weren't ready but given the lack of service coming in, we figured this may be our only opportunity. This staff member immediately asked us if we were members. Upon replying No, she was immediately annoyed and rude. She then told someone else that she always has time for members, and started helping them before she even finished assisting us with our purchase. The staff member slammed down our receipt and disregarded us completely. After paying and walking out the door, we agreed never to return.
  • Been here a handful of times and I really enjoying sitting out at the picnic tables on a sunny day.
  • WINTER MONTHS HOURS ARE UNTIL 5:00PM. They will not serve you after 4:30 and will kick you out. Staff said they don't have parking lot lighting. We showed up at a little before 4:30 thinking they were open until 7:00. Driveway was washed out near the bottom but made it through ok. Manager comped us a few glasses of wine which was nice, considering. The new facility is beautiful, just needs some personality and window coverings added (sun is brutal at the end of the day). Seems like it will be a nice warm weather hang out if they end up serving any type of food. Staff still seeming to get their footing. Wine was hit or miss. Our group purchased 4 bottles and that came out to be $127. Overpriced for quality was our general consensus. There's potential, hope they work on it.
