  • My sister and I visited this zoo this spring and we loved it. I can't wait to bring my granddaughter here. I know she will love it.
  • I was bummed last time I went because they used to have a really cool prairie dog enclosure set up like an ant cage where you could see tunnels and whatnot, and a big monkey enclosure with monkeys run...  more »
  • We visited this zoo on a nice fall Friday afternoon. Not crowded at all, perfect size for our little ones (5 and 2) to walk around. Really like the Grizzly Bear and otter exhibits; parakeets were also...  more »

  • Decent zoo. Fun family-friendly place to visit for something local and inexpensive to do. The bird area is really neat, you can purchase popsicle sticks with bird feed to get them to land on your hand. Animal wise it doesn't really compare to the bigger city zoos. But new renovations are great.
  • Bears, lions, wolves, monkeys, reptiles, birds, llamas, and so much more. So much fun to visit. Very kid friendly zoo. The employees were all very nice and you can tell truly enjoy their work with the animals. Since it was built on old dunes, the zoo is hilly, but this gives it a great, multi-level feel as you explore. Bring comfortable shoes. They have also now restored the old tower that used to be closed. Get an amazing view of the surrounding area and of Lake Michigan from the top.
  • Tiny but quaint old school style zoo. Great location right by a nice park and beach. Easy to spend the day there. Hilly with some spots only accessible by stairs. Nothing special animal wise, typical small zoo selection. Cool gift shop. Good Zoo for smaller kids.
  • Nice zoo with some rather steeps hills. It could be a little difficult to get around this zoo if you have mobility problems. It does however, make for some interesting angles in which to see the animals. Fairly priced.
  • It's a nice zoo for little childen. My son loved seeing the animals. It's open until 5 not 4. I thought they closed at 4 so I was hauling a## a bit thinking I had to be there by 3 and I get off of work at 2. Wish they would change the times that way people would know to come by 4, not 3. Other than that, everything else was great. Will be returning.
