  • I compare every zoo to our world class St. Louis zoo, with that being said this zoo is very small and old. It has charm though. The buildings are stone and give it an old feel. The zoo itself was clea...  more »
  • I think this a great zoo for young children. It is not super big or fancy. It will hold, like 6 and under intereste. Don't expect something like Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. Short and sweet is what this...  more »

  • This is a very nice small zoo overlooking Lake Michigan and built around the dunes environment. This means some modest climbing but its definitely worth it. Its a great family destination and has most of the animals you would expect such as lions, tigers, bears, etc. If you need giraffes or hippos or representatives from all the primates, you will nerd to go to one of the pricier and more crowded zoos such as Brookfield zoo. But this zoo suits our family perfectly for a half day trip. Not necessarily a flawless gem but definitely a diamond in the the rough.
  • Me, my daughter, and my boyfriend went and for the price of adults to be $7 dollars and they have a nice amount of animals was worth it. It's so affordable and we were able to feed the goats plus more. Go check it out!! And it's only $7 bucks if you aren't a resident and $6 if you are a resident.
  • Considering this is a small zoo it is very well done. It is on a bit of hill with stairs and ramps that feel like walking on paths through the woods. It was very clean, the habitats are nicely done, and my wife and I spent a relaxing and enjoyable 3 hours here and will definitely return. Plus on the other side of the parking is a nice Lake Michigan beach.
  • Smaller zoo but never disappointing. Staff is always friendly. Great place to take the family. The look out tower gives a good over look of Lake Michigan .
  • Loved it! Haven't been in a few years and they have made it so beautiful! What a great way to spend the day with my daughter 😊
