  • Open from Tuesday to Sunday 1 to 4 pm with a small admission fee, you take a self directed tour of the old lighthouse and can walk up to a viewing cap to see surrounding vistas.
  • By the way, the above photo is not the Old Light House Museum. The Museum is now land locked where once it was on the waters edge. Much of the lake has been filled in making way for a large yacht basi...  more »
  • Seen the lighthouse at the end of the long day and it was a nice way to end the day. Sunset was beautiful as we walked the pier.

  • Nice people, nice place. Only one of its kind in the area. Stop by to learn about local history and see the way lighthouse keepers used to live on the precipice of raging Lady Michigan.
  • Charming and informative museum featuring local history and artifacts. Very family friendly too.
  • Didnt go to the museum but area was really nice
  • Had a lovely peaceful time at the beach .Clean nice beach would love to go back and spend more time
  • Knowledgeable and friendly docents. Unique collection and museum. Deserves a visit. Read the signs and displays on the grounds as well. My family and I visited the museum twice (vists were years apart) with the same experience. I don't understand the comments of the previous reviewer, other than poorly behaved children endangering the exhibits. Furthermore, I don't understand how a parent could allow their unaccompanied children to wander through a museum. There was even an extremely rare map on the wall I enquired about, and they tried to locate a copy for me to buy at the gift shop.
