Vizcaya Museum & Gardens, Miami
(4.5/5 based on 4,400+ reviews on the web)
A taste of Europe in Miami, Vizcaya Museum & Gardens once served as the home of businessman James Deering. Begun in 1910, with architecture and gardens modeled on the Mediterranean Revival style, the estate was Deering's winter residence from 1916 until his death in 1925. Today, the museum and gardens attract visitors who are drawn by the villa's collection of antique furniture, tapestries, paintings, and decorative arts. The seaside gardens brim with fountains, sculptures, gazebos, trails, and pools. The estate frequently hosts dignitaries from around the world. • This place is heaven on earth. The gardens really shine as the property has a multitude of beautiful horticulture, statues, and water features. The manor is a spectacle to behold and was far before its time and just a wonder to learn about. The cafe serves delicious food and great wine. We visit multiple times a year
  • Beautiful gardens and historic house. Nice place to walk around with a date or the family. Not overly historic, but nice. Losing a star because the outskirts of the property was littered with trash. It is something that you wouldn't expect at a place you pay $20 to get into.
  • Excellent museum with a lot of Miami history. the place is well kept. It has a lot of gardens and the property is beautiful. This is one of the most beautiful landmark in MIA and a place to visit. Great for large events.
  • One of the most beautiful places in Miami! I've lived in Miami my whole life and have traveled all over the world but I keep coming back to this magical landscape! Great place to take family pictures, prom pictures, engagement pictures, any pictures really. Go check it out, you won't regret it! 😊
  • A delightful surprise, a time capsule of the early 1900's. Security and gift shop staff was very friendly making conversation easy and helping understanding the history of the amazing building and gardens. A little more of conservation on rooms furniture and fixtures would bring the glory of those spaces back. Overall, It totally worths the ticket price.
