Little Havana, Miami

(2.2/5 based on 1,400+ reviews on the web)
Visit Cuba without leaving U.S. soil at Little Havana, with its lively restaurants, music, and Cuban street culture. Stroll down Calle Ocho, the neighborhood's main street, and take in the atmosphere--watch an older generation play dominoes, eat fruit from one of the many fruit stands, drink a fragrant Cuban coffee, or indulge in a locally rolled cigar from El Credito cigar factory. Dance to traditional Cuban and Afro-Cuban street music, drop by one of the many galleries, or visit one of the four Catholic churches in the area. Be sure to try a pastelito, a traditional sweet and flaky Cuban pastry filled with cheese or cheese and guava. • Certainly, little Havana is well named, because when we limit ourselves to be present on a small section of an avenue, we can't talk about neighborhood. However, some institutions will serve you a Mojito "like over there says". More if you enjoy the Cuban atmosphere, this is a good opportunity to make a short detour in the corner and preferably in the Sun.

  • fun area of Miami, it's like being in actual Havana. Mojitos, cuban coffee, empanadas, Cuban sandwich, flavored ice cream and hand rolled cigars!
  • Although Miami Cubans today have little to do with Cuban Cubans, visiting this little bit of Cuban flavor in the heart of Miami is always a great experience. Walking blocks full of restaurants, cafes ...  more »
