Little Havana, Miami

(2.2/5 based on 1,500+ reviews on the web)
Visit Cuba without leaving U.S. soil at Little Havana, with its lively restaurants, music, and Cuban street culture. Stroll down Calle Ocho, the neighborhood's main street, and take in the atmosphere--watch an older generation play dominoes, eat fruit from one of the many fruit stands, drink a fragrant Cuban coffee, or indulge in a locally rolled cigar from El Credito cigar factory. Dance to traditional Cuban and Afro-Cuban street music, drop by one of the many galleries, or visit one of the four Catholic churches in the area. Be sure to try a pastelito, a traditional sweet and flaky Cuban pastry filled with cheese or cheese and guava. • I have heard of Little Havana for years and was so glad to have the chance to go on a walking tour there yesterday. I saw cigar making, art and artists, food, coffee, and all of the life on Calle Ocho...  more »
  • Calle ocho is a normal shopping street. Cigar stores are too expensive. I thought it was a waste of time. The luck is that has a pharmacy with parking nearby, so at least I don't visit fathered no additional cost
