Interact with tropical birds, see a tiger show, or visit the Everglades Habitat to further explore Florida's ecosystems at Jungle Island. Such famous guests as Winston Churchill and President Jimmy Carter have visited this zoo, which originally opened in 1936 as Parrot Jungle. In addition to animal shows and exhibitions, the park also provides visitors with opportunities for live animal encounters at its petting zoo. A few of the zoo's most popular attractions are its Parrot Bowl, which hosts the Winged Wonders bird show, and a 408 kg (400 lb) liger (combination lion and tiger). This is a nice place. I don't know why people complain, its not Disney World. The parrots are friendly and some speak to get snacks from you. Monkeys and Apes are decent and active. There is a lot for such a small space. Its worth checking out. The burger joint is very good.

This place is horrible!!!! Very expensive and $10 for parking!!!! The water for the animals to swim in was disgusting!!! The baboons butts have a infection!!! The cheetah was in a small cage pacing back and forth like it was depressed!!!! The Lions and Tigers was kept in a small cage as well!!!! Most of the birds was kept in small cages!!! I find this place abusive to the animals!!! The animals should be free not locked up like they are in prison!!! The staff looked like they were sleep walking!!!! I will never ever go here again or recommend it to anyone!!! I wasted to much money!!!!!
We had an amazing day here. People who work here doing their utmost to introduce various bird species and in a very entertaining way. I've seen the birds, never knew existed. Very clean, very well maintained.
First of all, tickets are very expensive, few attractions. There are fans for the animals, NON at the theaters. Is there a place where drinks are more expensive? If so let me know. $4.00 water and sodas... really? This place SUCKS.. NEVER AGAIN!!!
