  • Visit Coconut Grove is the neighborhood that has more absorbed the alternative urban cultures. District founded in 1873, maintains the eclecticism of artists, intellectuals and adventurers who settled it for the first time. A tropical oasis that allows you to escape from urban stress with a relaxed atmosphere. CocoWalk is a good choice to forget urban traffic and bustle. It is important to point out that its cultural richness is due to the great immigration which received this area. One no minor detail is that in Coconut Grove was one of the first settlements of black, from people in the Bahamas and they take care of their traditions, as for example at the time of celebrating Carnival in the Caribbean style. Referred to this area as the Food Court in Miami since there are many, varied and beautiful cafes and restaurants. It is also a popular Center of nightlife because of the presence of the University of Florida that provides its students, graduates and professionals. What visit? The neighborhood in itself! And the Vizcaya Museum and gardens, of course! This neighborhood has its own magazine: The Grovite, a weekly publication that includes upcoming events, offers, and not so visited attractions.
