  • The shopping area and the flea market are bright, colorful, rich people and opportunities to buy. Difficult to come away without buying anything!

  • Great place to bring family or friends from out of town. It has just about everything you could possibly want all in one place. Many choices and options for food, from fast and casual to great ambulance's. Live bands just about every day. The Hard Rock for nostalgia and music history. Tour boats and so on.
  • Open air tourist centered shopping center with unique vendors and small stores. Several large and medium restaurants peppered throughout. The supposed food court is very dated and appears to be on its last legs. A lot of greasy no name food vendors. Nice amphitheater with open seating has music shows throughout the summer. If it wasn't a tourist destination I wouldn't revisit.
  • The problematic parking garage The garage meter didn't give us a ticket when we pressed, but the screen said "please proceed" which confused us. So, we drove in and try to find someone who can help us. I found the office and told the staff about the machine and ticket, and they replied that there was no choice but to give for lost ticket for $30! We just got in and haven't even found a spot yet, went directly into their office and that was the response that I got. So, when I was there trying to sort this out, which is also near by the entrance, another customer came in with the same problem. And, another car having the same problem at the machine, and cars are lining up. Finally the supervisor checked the machine and found that the paper run out. I asked him could it be a glitch and machine error that the ticket did not come out. He replied, no and urged me to pay for the "lost ticket fee". Lastly, he gave me a ticket which was left at the machine at the time stamp about 2 pm (we came in about 3 pm), and saying that it was great help to save me $30. That's not the end of it. I asked if they can check the camera footage and see what I said is right or not. That's the most important part! He said "THE CAMERAS ARE NOT WORKING!!!". THE PARKING GARAGE OF SUCH CROWDED MARKET PLACE IS NOT MONITORED BY CAMERA!!! Either this is a scam by those few people, or it is a big welcoming place for TERRORISTS. Hope someone responsible can oversee this which would help future guests of the city miserable and make the city safe!
  • Great place with many diverse restaurants, cafeterias and bar. Excellent shops (my wife was interested in that). Nautical tours are very affordable (25 aprox. ) and guides are well prepared. There are drinks on boats, being a Canadian, I find that great!. City looks great from the Biscayne bay specially if you take a late tour..There is an amphitheater with entertainment most of the day...Loved it
  • Free music on bay side you can spend hours easily dancing snacking eating etc. Lot of variety shopping. We did island Queen Cruise and enjoyed on boat drinks and snacks...... Nice experience

Where to stay in Miami

Miami's South Beach boasts one of the largest collections of boutique hotels in the country. Though it can be quite expensive, staying in this area ensures proximity to the city's best shoreline, clubs, shopping, and restaurants, not to mention Art Deco buildings. Mid-Beach and downtown also make great places to stay, offering some superb apartment rentals and small hotels, though the neighborhoods are not as glamorous as South Beach. If you're traveling on a budget, avoid the high season during winter months. If money is no object, get a room with a view before it gets too hot along the famous stretch of Collins Avenue between 15th and 23rd Street.
