Bayfront Park, Miami

4.3
#2 of 16 in Parks in Miami
An urban waterfront site, Bayfront Park covers 13 hectares (32 acres) of downtown Miami. The park features a beach area, rock garden, waterfalls, monuments, sculptures, and an amphitheater. Famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi designed the park in 1980 and included three of his sculptures: the Slide Mantra, the Challenger Memorial, and the Light Tower. Amble along the boardwalk for views of the waterfront, or explore the paths within the park for close-up views of Noguchi's sculptures. Find the plaque marking the spot where Franklin D. Roosevelt avoided a possible assassination attempt in 1933, which claimed the life of Chicago's mayor, Anton Cermak. • This public park sits between the Bayside Marketplace shopping area and the InterContinental hotel. It is nice for talking a quiet walk and chasing squirrels. There is a good playground for the kiddos...  more »
  • The only downside was the walking around completely as they had just one entrance. The people promoting mentioned it was free entrance and we get there to find out only $5 was taken off.  more »
  • I enjoyed my daily walks in this area in the morning and evening and it feels save at all times good to relax and enjoy  more »

  • Great place to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ our LORD and savior. Whatever you do dont pay the wages of sin. Seek Jesus Christ today! Only Jesus saves from the wages of sin...hell and death. Sanctify yourself today. Be separate from this wicked world. God is love. Submit to him today. You MUST be born AGAIN!
  • Good place to visit in Miami. Lots of shops and restaurants. Lots of parking. Nice environment with live music in the afternoon. You can walk near the bay front and see the views. There is a kid's park in the area. Pet friendly.
  • Excellent Park even better location. Plenty of shopping and food trucks to grab a snack. There are sculptures and children's playgrounds the park has jogging and biking trails overlooking Biscayne Bay Port of Miami. There are sightseeing boat and sightseeing bus tours available towards the North End of the park for the tourist. Highly recommend when in Miami to make a visit to the scenic Park.

Where to stay in Miami

Miami's South Beach boasts one of the largest collections of boutique hotels in the country. Though it can be quite expensive, staying in this area ensures proximity to the city's best shoreline, clubs, shopping, and restaurants, not to mention Art Deco buildings. Mid-Beach and downtown also make great places to stay, offering some superb apartment rentals and small hotels, though the neighborhoods are not as glamorous as South Beach. If you're traveling on a budget, avoid the high season during winter months. If money is no object, get a room with a view before it gets too hot along the famous stretch of Collins Avenue between 15th and 23rd Street.
