Bayfront Park, Miami

Categories: Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.2/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web
An urban waterfront site, Bayfront Park covers 13 hectares (32 acres) of downtown Miami. The park features a beach area, rock garden, waterfalls, monuments, sculptures, and an amphitheater. Famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi designed the park in 1980 and included three of his sculptures: the Slide Mantra, the Challenger Memorial, and the Light Tower. Amble along the boardwalk for views of the waterfront, or explore the paths within the park for close-up views of Noguchi's sculptures. Find the plaque marking the spot where Franklin D. Roosevelt avoided a possible assassination attempt in 1933, which claimed the life of Chicago's mayor, Anton Cermak. • Very nice beaches, plenty of space in this early october. Parking along the beach was a bit expensive but we are in Miami. For the sportives, there are some "free external exercice compound" to train.

  • Excelent open air park with art sculptures, icecream trucks and nice views Bayfront is a hotspot for major festivals and events. Home to Ultra Music festival, the Mercedes Benz Corporate Run, and NYE rise of the orange a weird New Years Eve edition here in South Florida. If your from out of town check out Bayside Mall right next door for hop on hop off buses, boat tours, mojitos, and all things tourist.
  • Great venue! Even the lawn seats provide you with a great view. Plenty of accessible restrooms, great drinks and amazing food stands.
  • If you're a pokemon go player then this is definitely the place for you. Plenty of poke stops, lures up constantly, and it being a charmander nest is just the icing on the cake. For the casual person looking for a nice spot to visit for a walk, or the sights then this place is also very nice. Not to mention there are plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. CAREFUL! At night this seems to be the place all the homeless come to sleep. They rarely bother you but nevertheless please stay safe!
  • This is an area of Miami I visit on a regular basis. Had to ding it a few stars for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the homeless situation in this area is out of control, they are sleeping throughout the entire park if you visit at night. The homeless people have never bothered or harassed me nor my family. The second issue is there is no lighting at the play ground at night. This park is beautiful and features a massive and beautifully architectured fountain at the parks center. The ocean view and breeze are literally breathtaking, one of the most romantic scenes in Miami at night. This place has the potential to reach 5 stars, but until some of these issues are resolved it must remain at 3 stars for me.
  • Nice place for an outdoor concert. Security, cleanliness both good. Getting out after show was a bit slow...I think they could do better on that. Everyone had to funnel through one spot to get out.
