Bayfront Park, Miami

4.3
#3 of 31 in Parks in Miami
An urban waterfront site, Bayfront Park covers 13 hectares (32 acres) of downtown Miami. The park features a beach area, rock garden, waterfalls, monuments, sculptures, and an amphitheater. Famed sculptor Isamu Noguchi designed the park in 1980 and included three of his sculptures: the Slide Mantra, the Challenger Memorial, and the Light Tower. Amble along the boardwalk for views of the waterfront, or explore the paths within the park for close-up views of Noguchi's sculptures. Find the plaque marking the spot where Franklin D. Roosevelt avoided a possible assassination attempt in 1933, which claimed the life of Chicago's mayor, Anton Cermak. • Nice Park, when we went was quiet, there's a lot of squirrels playing. Overlooks the ships and is close to the bayside marketplace.

  • Bayfront Park is located just off of Biscayne Boulevard, one of the main streets of Miami, then near Biscayne Bay. Even if you are in Miami to reach the port, it is. Numerous events are held, as it can accommodate many visitors. Is easily accessible because a few meters there is the stop of the Metromover. I stayed at a hotel nearby. I recommend having a walk.

  • Not being from these parts, this was a pleasant oasis within walking distance of our hotel. It offers a nice walk around the harbour. It was a clean well kept area.  more »

  • I love Bayfront Park! The scenery is beautiful, the kids have open space to enjoy, it's clean, and the people are friendly!! I also love that we can bring the kids here with their bikes/scooters so they can enjoy without having to worry about cars or traffic!
  • Beautiful and breath taking views of the bay. Parking is expensive at night, and lots of homeless around though. Great places to eat near by and good shopping.
  • Too many people for me and really hot specially in summer and really disappoint about second floor before they have too many food stands and only 2 left and a lot of homeless sleeping and haging out around there and I think is not good for tourist to see all that. Need to improve a lot. Never comeback again until they fix that problem.
  • Great stores, restaurants and live music. Always something to do, boat tours double decker bus tours and so much more.
  • We didn't got much time to spend over there but it was a pleasant time. If you have extra time you can visit it, but if you are on short trip you can skip it. Parking is sometimes hard to find, and you might need to walk a bit. Parking is I guess $7/hr and $3.5 for additional hours. Have fun.
